Scotia Law Training has provided paralegal qualifications recognised under the Law Society of Scotland Accredited Paralegal scheme since 2010. Hundreds of employees have qualified and gone on to successful careers.

Scotia's managing director, Munro McCannell has founded many successful paralegal qualifications and worked full-time in paralegal training since 1992. He qualified as a solicitor in 1989.
Helen Sharp McCannell, director, was a senior fiscal depute for 32 years and latterly ran the trainee programme at the Procurator Fiscal service. Helen left the service in 2023 to take up a position as a director at Scotia. Helen has been a Scotia tutor since 2010. She qualified as a solicitor in 1990.
